Critical Need for Volunteers
Bright Futures Atlanta is in need of consistent volunteers for our after-school program. We need individuals who are able to commit to assisting from 4:15 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. on one of the following days each week.
- Mondays (4:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.)
- Work with middle school students during free time and/or homework help at the Bright Futures House.
- Wednesdays (4:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.)
- Serve as team captains for sports and recreation at Bright Futures Academy.
- Thursdays (4:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.)
- Serve as team captains for team-building exercises at Bright Futures Academy.
Please note: We strongly prefer to work with volunteers who can commit to one day per week in order to provide a more consistent environment for our students and facilitate relationship-building between volunteers and students.
Food prep: We are also in need of small groups or corporate groups who can commit to purchasing food and preparing dinner at least one evening per week.
If you are interested in committing to volunteer, please send an email to email@example.com or 404-799-1249.
Saturdays: Open House –supervise students in various free time activities. Our goal on Saturdays is to give them a safe place to hang out and keep them off the streets. Prepare and/or serve lunch to students; 12-4pm (3 times monthly–please call for schedule)
Special Events – Includes field trips, sports, arts and crafts, work projects and service. Special events can be put on by your small group, youth group, neighborhood, etc. Call for details.
SAT Prep: SAT classes for Juniors/Seniors. Scheduling is flexible. Please contact us if interested in helping and/or leading.
Preparing For Your Future Seminars:
Speak to groups of students about your career, as well as helpful pre-career steps. Facilitate discussion groups based on career seminars. Seminars occur twice yearly.
